In this session we'll introduce the concepts and syntax of creating SQL procedures and functions. An SQL procedure is just a procedure written using SQL/PSM (Persistent Stored Modules) which is an ISO standard. SQL functions are programs that can be involved from within an SQL statement and are a great way to standardize and encapsulate common business calculations or conversions within SQL applications.
